What's New in Devolutions Hub Business 2026.1

Welcome to version 2026.1!

For the full list of changes, check out the release notes.

Here’s a quick look at the most exciting updates:

Enable secure contractor access through focused workflows

Better contractor support is now available. The full Devolutions Hub Business interface covers RDP, VNC, SSH, Telnet, PowerShell Remote, ARD, and Host sessions. Devolutions Gateway is required. And there’s a focused, compact dashboard that displays three sessions at a time for quick access. Create a “Contractor” user type, which uses Devolutions Login for access, and select specific entries and sessions accessible to these users external to your organization.

Adopt faster with auto-trials, Free tier fallback, and in-app license purchase

Hub now allows license purchases from the license screen, even if the signed-in user doesn’t currently have a license. This improves the first-time experience by letting new or unlicensed users complete purchase and activation without leaving your Hub instance.

Reduce onboarding friction with improved account setup

Hub onboarding is now more streamlined and secure, with improvements to recovery key (formerly known as “emergency kit”) handling and account verification.

Strengthen password health with enhanced passphrase functionality

Password management has been enhanced with updates to the Password Generator and security checks. The generator now supports a character limit, can include special characters in passphrases, and adds a symbol to the default template. In addition, password management now includes logic to check for compromised passwords, helping identify risky credentials.

Protect data with encrypted exports and local backups

Hub now lets you export vault data as an encrypted JSON file protected by a master password, making it safer to back up or transfer data. You can access this export from the Utilities menu in Hub, where the generated file is encrypted at rest and can only be opened with the master password you set during export.

Live session shadowing and remote updates for Devolutions Gateway

Devolutions Gateway and Hub continue to close the gap with Devolutions Server by expanding operational capabilities in the web experience. You can now perform live session shadowing for real-time oversight and support, and you can start Gateway updates directly from the web interface, reducing the need for manual server-side maintenance.

Multiple PAM service instances for high-availability

PAM Services now supports high availability, allowing you to deploy multiple service instances that are automatically added when they connect. This lets you scale out for redundancy and failover: if one instance is unavailable, others can continue handling requests without requiring manual configuration in the web interface.

Build better dashboards with customizable widgets

Dashboards will now allow users to create custom counter and list widgets and reorder widgets to match their priorities. Custom widgets can be based on filters like tags and entry status, support logic criteria, and counters are clickable to open the matching results. Widgets can be user-specific or shared at the data source level.

Scale organization with tag inheritance

Tag inheritance can now be enabled by setting an inheritance mode in any folder, including the vault's root folder. Once configured, entries will display both assigned and inherited tags, making it easy to validate in the RDM sidebar (or via a tags column) at a glance.
