What's New in Devolutions Server 2026.2

Thank you for updating Devolutions Server to version 2026.2!

For the full list of changes, check out the release notes.

Here's a quick look at the most exciting updates:

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) with PAM checkouts

MFA on PAM checkouts adds a configurable multi-factor prompt when a checkout is requested, confirming that the right user is starting a sensitive session before they reach a critical system. Multiple MFA methods are available, such as email and TOTP.

Multi-user checkouts on shared entries

This release expands how shared resources get checked out. Multiple checkouts now allow a single entry to be checked out by a defined number of users simultaneously, useful for pooled devices, service accounts, and other shared infrastructure where one-at-a-time checkout gets in the way.

PAM improvements through smarter JIT elevation and password rotation

A handful of PAM improvements take repetitive setup off the operator's plate.

Administering Devolutions Server from RDM

Vaults, users, user groups, and license management are now available directly in the RDM client. The administrative interfaces appear as embedded tabs for Devolutions Server, so administrators can handle routine work without switching over to the Server web UI mid-task. The web UI is still there when it's needed; it's just no longer a required stop for everyday administration.

AI assistant entries in Devolutions Server

The AI assistant entry, already available in RDM, now works directly in the Devolutions Server web UI. Administrators and users can ask questions, get guidance, and work through tasks in natural language with their preferred AI model, without leaving Devolutions Server.
