What's New in Remote Desktop Manager Mobile 2026.1

Thank you for updating Remote Desktop Manager (RDM) to version 2026.1!

Below, we’ll take a quick look at the most exciting updates. For the full list of changes, check out the release notes.

New features

Approve or deny PAM checkouts directly from a secure message

We’re making it more secure to approve PAM checkout requests by using secure messages. This new method provides a more robust option for organizations with stringent approval requirements for sensitive requests.

Show and hide the on-screen keyboard automatically in RDP and VNC

It’s now possible to toggle the keyboard display when tapping a text field in an RDP & VNC session, and hide it when tapping outside, enhancing visibility and convenience.

Manage SCP and SFTP sessions, including Gateway configurations

You can now modify settings for SCP and SFTP sessions, including configurations for gateways, similar to what is possible when editing SSH sessions.

Use IT Glue credentials for faster onboarding

Available on RDM Windows, you can now use your IT Glue credentials to log in to the system, expanding capabilities for secure authentication on mobile

Improvements

Reconnect automatically when RDP, ARD, VNC, or SSH sessions drop

We’ve added an option to allow reconnecting RDP, ARD, and VNC sessions when connectivity is lost, enabling a quicker reconnect to your endpoints.

Improve touch responsiveness in RDP, ARD, and VNC

RDP, ARD, and VNC sessions now have better responsiveness in touch mode, improving user experience and accessibility.

Simplify sign-in with SSO for LastPass and 1Password

With 2026.1, we are adding support for using your identity provider (e.g., Entra ID) to log in to LastPass or 1Password, making it easier to use these password managers to retrieve credentials in RDM and authenticate to endpoints.

Support SSH certificates for stronger key-based authentication

You can now attach SSH certificates to SSH key entries. This was previously only available on SSH session entries, and it simplifies certificate-based setups, including “linked (vault)” usage.
