Hey RDMers,

Even though January might not be your favorite month of the year (you wouldn’t believe how cold it is here!), we have some news that will warm your heart: January’s poll results are in!

Last month, we asked you if we should make Remote Desktop Manager .NET 4.0 compatible now, or in a few months. Why is this important? Well, as you probably know, Windows 8.0 only includes .NET 4.0. So if we migrate Remote Desktop Manager to .NET 4.0, anyone using .NET 3.5 or earlier would face compatibility issues.

Many of you participated in the poll (thank you!), and while the response wasn’t unanimous, it’s pretty clear that since .NET 4.0 is supported on Windows XP through Windows 8.1, most of you think we should make Remote Desktop Manager .NET 4.0 compatible NOW. We’ve passed this advice along to our development team.

And The Winners Are…

This month’s lucky winners of a $25 Amazon gift certificate are: Carry Wagner, Edmund Davis, Zoltan Zombory and Andreas Erson. Thank you and everyone else for participating in our poll.

Stay tuned for February’s poll question, which will be posted next week – it’s a really different kind of poll and will inspire you to channel your “inner geek”…you’ll see what I mean!
