Devolutions Officially Launches Wayk Now – Instant Remote Support and Remote Desktop

Enterprise software solutions firm Devolutions, whose flagship product Remote Desktop Manager is used by over 300,000 IT professionals in more than 130 countries, announced today the official launch of the company’s new remote support and desktop tool Wayk Now.

Wayk Now, which is fully integrated in the recently-released Remote Desktop Manager 12, lets users take control of a remote computer, or allow another authorized user to take control of their computer. Wayk Now key features include:

  • The ability to send and receive files of any size.
  • An enhanced clipboard that lets users copy and paste between local and remote applications.
  • Compatibility with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, with the same rich feature set for all operating systems.
  • Strong TLS 1.2 encryption with certificate validation.
  • A lightweight package with a small footprint that launches without installation or elevated permissions.

“The problem of integrating third party remote technologies into Remote Desktop Manager is that we don’t have total control over the different technologies, and over the years this has created some usability and compatibility problems that have frustrated our users and development team,” commented Devolutions’ founder and CEO David Hervieux. “We realized that the best way to permanently solve this problem was to create our own solution, and ensure that it was fully integrated with Remote Desktop Manager. That way, if there’s ever an issue or a usage scenario that we didn’t anticipate, our team can solve it instead of trying to find workarounds for third party tools. Wayk Now has been on our agenda for quite a while, and we’re excited and encouraged by the positive feedback from the many users who signed-up during the beta testing phase.”
