As always, our success remains rooted, driven, and inspired by the people who matter most to us: the members of our global user community. We are deeply grateful for your loyalty, trust, and support — and we will never let you down.
To all of our brilliant users around the world: THANK YOU, HAPPY HOLIDAYS, and HAPPY NEW YEAR from all of us. We look forward to continuing our remarkable journey together in 2025. We have many exciting developments and innovations planned, and we can’t wait to share them with you soon. While this past year has been tremendous in so many ways, be assured that the best is yet to come!
The tradition continues
Back in 2016, some team members decided to don their ugliest Christmas sweaters, and gather for a group photo — and a new tradition at Devolutions was born!
Every year since then, in the joyful spirit of the season, we have come together at Christmas to commit multi-colored yarn crimes. Here is this year’s gloriously garish group photo:
Things to do
Over the holiday break, when you aren’t gleefully playing video games and spending quality time with family and friends, here are some things that you might enjoy doing:
- Explore Devolutions Academy, which is our new online learning hub built to help you master Devolutions’ solutions. All courses are created by our experts, and multiple learning paths are available to suit your interests and experience level. Check it out and start your learning journey. You can also learn more about Devolutions Academy by watching this introductory video.
- Dive into our 2024 year in review, where we look back at some of the biggest announcements, developments, happenings, and events over the last 12 months at Devolutions (and of course, we include some fun stuff as well!).
- If you haven’t done so already, participate in our December poll question and share your “wish list” for Remote Desktop Manager and Devolutions PAM in 2025. But you’d better hurry: SANTA CLOUD HAS ARRIVED AT DEVOLUTIONS HQ, but he won’t be staying for long (he has tickets for a Caribbean cruise that leaves soon).
- Enjoy Sysadminotaur comics, going all the way back to the hilarious strip that started it all: #1 “Backup System”.
- Check out five YouTube tech channels that we recommend, which cover everything from unboxing cool gadgets to improving web dev skills.
- Start thinking of New Year’s Resolutions so that your 2025 is a triumph! Here are some suggestions specifically for IT pros.
- Refresh your desktop wallpaper: choose from a selection of Devolutions-themed wallpapers or Sysadminotaur-themed wallpapers.
- Browse the Devolutions website and try to find Maurice from Sysadminotaur who is hiding in one of the pages. If you report his location, then you could win a $50 prize!
- Immerse yourself in all 11 hours and 22 minutes of the Lord of the Rings (extended version, of course). And if anyone dares to ask why you would do this, simply send them to this blog that lists five reasons why Lord of the Rings is the BEST movie franchise ever!

While we aren’t “officially” working over the next few days, don’t be surprised if we respond quickly to questions and comments (remember that we’re IT pros just like you, and we also need an occasional escape from relatives at the party who want us to “fix their slow computer”).
